Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL has reported an increasingly upward trend in the sales of its prepaid mobile SIM cards in March 2017. The state-owned telecommunications company has activated more than 2.95 million new prepaid mobile connections in the same month.
BSNL Circles – BSNL prepaid mobile subscriptions
18 out of the 22 telecom circles, have achieved and even gone beyond their assigned target. These include Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttaranchal, UP (East), UP (West), Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, West Bengal, Kolkata, Jharkhand, Assam, and Andaman & Nicobar islands.
Performance wise report of BSNL Circles
On one side where North East I, Karnataka and Odisha were able to almost reach the assigned target, North East II, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Chennai TD were not anywhere close. The highest number of SIM cards was activated in March 2017. Circles where more than 2 lakh new mobile connections were activated are Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and UP (East). More than 1 lakh new mobile connections were activated in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, UP (West), Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Orissa.
BSNL mobile recharge pack – Unlimited Combo STV 339 plan was one of the major factors behind the boost up in sales during March 2017, said a report.
